The answer

May Allah inspire you with patience and compensate you with what is better, for everything that befalls a person is by Allah's decree and destiny. A believer does not grieve over what they have missed nor rejoice over what they have been given. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised Ibn Abbas: "Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him before you. If you ask, ask Allah. If you seek help, seek help from Allah. And know that if the entire nation were to gather to benefit you with something, they would not benefit you except with what Allah has already decreed for you. And if they were to gather to harm you with something, they would not harm you except with what Allah has already decreed against you. The pens have been lifted, and the scrolls have dried." And whoever is afflicted by a calamity and says: "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. O Allah, reward me for my calamity and compensate me with what is better," Allah will compensate them with something better than it.
