The question

Is involuntary laughter at inappropriate words, said with good intentions to alleviate obsessive-compulsive disorder, considered disbelief (kufr) or apostasy (khurūj min al-millah), especially if the laughter is at the manner of speaking and the words themselves, and not mockery of the statement "Our Lord said in His Qudsi Hadith," which was said as an introduction?

The answer

We ask Allah for your swift recovery. It does not appear to us that your mother said anything that contained mockery of Allah the Almighty, while emphasizing the necessity of showing proper reverence to Allah. Your sudden laughter does not constitute disbelief (kufr) and there is no sin in it. You must repel obsessive-compulsive disorder and not succumb to it.
