What are the scholars' interpretations of the Hadith: "A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer"; and does the strength mentioned include only strength of faith, or does it extend to academic, physical, and material strength?

The hadith (definition) is authentic, narrated by Imam Muslim, and the strength referred to therein is the resolve of the soul and the ingenuity in matters of the Hereafter. The strong believer, in faith, body, and action, is better than the weak believer, because he produces and works for Muslims, and they benefit from his strength in jihad, achieving their interests, and defending Islam. Islam calls for strength in everything: in faith, creed, action, and bodies, as Allah Almighty says: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of strength." The Muslim is required to be strong in his faith and in all aspects of his life.
