What is the Muslim's stance on the abundance of disputes and disagreements among Muslims regarding matters of faith, especially in creed?

Allah has commanded the believers to unite and not to disunite, referring disputes to the Qur’an and Sunnah (definition); whatever conforms to them is the truth. Among the ways to resolve disputes are: returning to the infallible consensus of the Ummah, especially the consensus of the early Muslims (Salaf); referring to the sayings of the Companions, the Tabi'un, and the early Imams to understand the Qur’an and Sunnah; and frequently supplicating to Allah for guidance and success.
