Is it true that these surahs are designated for these specific purposes: Surat Al-Muzzammil for marital problems, Surat Al-Anbiya for offspring, Surat Al-Adiyat for debts, Surat Al-Waqi'ah for sustenance, Surat Al-Hajj for seeking marriage, Surat An-Nas for expelling whispers (waswas), Surat Al-Baqarah for "the تابع" (a type of spiritual affliction) and similar issues, Surat Yusuf for the imprisoned and for relief, Surat Maryam for protecting pregnancy, Surat Al-Inshiqaq for facilitating childbirth, Surat Al-Ghashiyah for a child's sleep, Surat Al-Falaq for the evil eye, and Surat Ad-Duha for forgetfulness?

The aforementioned statement is not a Prophetic ; rather, it is a fabrication by some contemporaries. Reciting Surat An-Nas to repel obsessive thoughts is permissible and prescribed, as is reciting Surat Al-Falaq for protection against the evil eye; the proof for this is the Hadith of Abu Sa’id. As for reciting Surat Al-Waqi’ah for sustenance, a weak Hadith has been transmitted concerning it. Surat Al-Baqarah is mighty and expels sorcerers. There is no শরعي basis for linking the rest of the surahs to the purposes mentioned for them.
