The answer

A Muslim is rewarded for struggling against satanic whisperings and for turning away from them because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, described the aversion to whisperings related to doubts in creed as "pure faith." He also commanded to stop them when Satan repeats his whisperings. He described the two prostrations of forgetfulness as "humiliation for Satan," in addition to the fact that the distress and anxiety resulting from these whisperings expiate sins. Struggling against whisperings is likened to "the greatest jihad."
