Is the one who repents from shirk required to recall every act of shirk in order to repent from it, or is that from the whisperings of Satan to dissuade one from repentance and Islam, and are the two declarations of faith sufficient for entering Islam?

It is sufficient for someone who has fallen into various types of shirk (definition) or sins to repent with a general repentance that meets the conditions for its acceptance, without needing to recall every sin. General repentance forgives all sins, even those the penitent did not recall, unless recalling some sins would lead him not to repent from them. Repentance from sin is immediately obligatory, and not delaying it leads to the obligation of another repentance for delaying the initial repentance. Therefore, general repentance includes sins that the servant knows and those he does not know, because what he does not know is greater. The Sunnah (definition) contains comprehensive supplications for seeking forgiveness for all sins, both hidden and apparent, such as the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know."
