The answer

Linguistically, (monotheism) means: making something one. Islamically, it is what "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah) signifies, in terms of negation and affirmation.

It is of two types: 1. Tawhid of knowledge and affirmation: Tawhid al-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Lordship) and Tawhid al-Asma wa al-Sifat (Oneness of Names and Attributes). 2. Tawhid of request and intention: Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah (Oneness of Divinity) and Tawhid al-Ibada (Oneness of Worship).

The word of Tawhid is: "La ilaha illa Allah."

As for "Tawhid al-Kalimah" (unification of the word/stand), it refers to the Muslims unifying their ranks and hearts concerning their major issues and fundamental principles, so that their desired entity may be realized. This must be built upon the foundation of what the word of Tawhid necessitates.
