The Islamic has called for examining the conditions of past nations to draw lessons, not to glorify them or revive their symbols. Therefore, the study of history in general, and Pharaonic history in particular, is permissible if it aims to draw lessons, increase faith, and avoid past mistakes. However, if it leads to the glorification of idols and tyrants, or the revival of racism, or the weakening of Islamic identity and the fragmentation of the Ummah's unity, then it is forbidden by Sharia.
