Is it permissible to teach history, a subject that includes the history of the infidel pharaohs and the distortions it contains?

Distorting history is a forbidden lie. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: "Can a believer be a liar?" He said: "No." Lying leads to wickedness, which leads to the Fire. As for teaching history, there is no harm in it, even if it includes the history of the infidel Pharaohs. Indeed, the Quran and Sunnah are full of stories of past nations and tyrants. It is not necessary for history to be taught in a distorted manner. The teacher must clarify that these people perished because of their sins and their deviation from Allah's methodology, and that they should not be glorified or elevated in status.
