Will my faith be considered deficient or traditional, or will I be held accountable for not contemplating God's creation, especially since intrusive thoughts increase when I try to contemplate?

The origin of faith is ingrained in human nature. A Muslim is not obligated to ponder and reflect on the universe, nor will he be held accountable for not doing so, as long as he possesses the fundamental principle of faith. Monotheism (Tawhid (definition)) is the first obligation upon a responsible individual and the last thing with which one departs this world; it is the key to the prophets' call. Pondering and reflecting on the universe increases faith in certainty, and it serves to prove the existence and oneness of Allah for those who deny it. One must resist whispers (waswasa) concerning faith, and choosing destruction over disbelief is a sign of faith.
