The answer

Love of Allah is one of the pillars of faith. The perfection of faith in the heart is commensurate with the perfection of this love. Whoever's heart is devoid of the love of Allah altogether, faith is likewise absent from their heart. Performing night prayers is an indication of the existence of the fundamental love for Allah, and it should be nurtured by contemplating Allah's blessings, associating with the righteous, engaging in remembrance (dhikr), and supplication (du'a). Maintaining obligatory prayers is more important than night prayers, because neglecting a prescribed prayer is a grave sin. With the striving of the self in worship, the burden will transform into pleasure and companionship with obedience.
