How can a Muslim love prayer and overcome laziness in performing it, especially the laziness of ablution, so as to maintain it and not miss any of its obligatory prayers?
Prayer is the pillar of faith and the distinguishing factor between disbelief and belief, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Between a man and disbelief - or polytheism - is the abandonment of prayer." And whoever is negligent with it and delays it from its appointed time, Allah has threatened him with woe, as He says: "So woe to those who pray, [But] who are heedless of their prayer." Maintaining it is a cause for entering Paradise, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Five prayers Allah has prescribed upon His servants. Whoever performs them and does not neglect any of them, out of belittlement of their right, will have a covenant with Allah to enter Paradise. And whoever does not perform them, will have no covenant with Allah; if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will admit him into Paradise." As for being negligent in prayer due to ablution, this is unacceptable and from Satan.
