Adam, peace be upon him, is the only one whom Allah created from dust, and then He created his wife Eve from him. After them, the creation of mankind became from water, as Allah Almighty said: "Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay. Then He made his progeny from an extract of water. Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul."
