Did God create man from clay, or from something else not mentioned in the Qur’an?
Allah created Adam from the dust of the earth. This dust was then mixed with water, becoming clay. This clay then turned into black, foul-smelling mud (ham'in masnun), and as it was mixed with sand, it became sounding clay (salsal) like pottery. The descendants of Adam thereafter multiply from a despised fluid (sperm), which is proof of Allah's diverse creation and His power.
