How is the inheritance of a woman divided who died without a husband or children, and whose heirs are a full sister, two sisters from the father's side, a brother from the father's side, and two daughters of a full sister who died before her?
The method of distributing the inheritance cannot be explained except after a clear and unambiguous enumeration of the heirs, which can be done through the designated link. If it is assumed that the deceased left behind only a full sister and two paternal sisters and a paternal brother, then the full sister receives one half, and the remainder goes to the paternal brother and the two paternal sisters by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females. Nothing goes to the sister who died before her, nor to her children. The inheritance is divided into eight shares: four shares for the full sister, two shares for the paternal brother, and one share for each paternal sister.
