Is it permissible to name a child "Islam," and is this name considered among the names of commendation (tazkiyah)?

Allah Almighty forbade the purification of the self, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade naming with "Barrah" because it is a form of self-praise. There is no harm in naming with "Islam" because there is no self-praise in it. The best names are Abdullah and Abdurrahman. Islamic law has encouraged the improvement of names and forbidden ugly names.
