Is it permissible to name a Muslim with the patronymic "Abu Al-Qasim," and is there any text mentioning it?

Scholars have differed on the ruling concerning naming a newborn Muhammad and kunya-ing him as Abu al-Qasim, presenting three views: absolute permissibility, absolute prohibition, and prohibition only for those named Muhammad. The correct view is absolute permissibility, based on what was narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about naming his son with his name and kunya-ing him with his kunya, and the Prophet permitted him to do so. This was also done by many Companions. As for the prohibition mentioned in the hadith (definition), "Name yourselves with my name, but do not kunya yourselves with my kunya," it refers to the prohibition of using his kunya during his lifetime (peace and blessings be upon him) to avoid confusion.
