The answer

There is no objection to naming a newborn "Wadud" (All-Loving) or any other common name that can be attributed to Allah without the definite article. Some scholars even permit naming with it when it includes the definite article (al-Wadud). What is prohibited is naming with names exclusive to Allah, such as: al-Khaliq (the Creator), ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious), al-Quddus (the Holy), al-Awwal (the First), al-Akhir (the Last), al-Batin (the Hidden).
