The answer

Children should be given good names. There is nothing to prevent naming with foreign names as long as there is no -related prohibition in them. The meaning of the name "Lauren" has not been established for us, but if its meaning is "instigator of discord," then it is a blameworthy meaning according to Sharia and it is disliked to name with it. Likewise, if the name is specific to non-Muslims, then naming with it is forbidden due to the imitation of them involved.
