Is the Mawlid (the aqiqah, then the recitations, and the chanting of prayers upon the Prophet Muhammad, may God's prayers and peace be upon him) permissible?

If the intention is what people do regarding the newly invented and innovated matters during the Prophet's birthday, such as banquets, celebrations, and other things, then the ruling on that has been explained previously. And if the intention is the aqiqah (definition) (sacrifice) for a newborn, then the detailed rulings of the aqiqah have been explained previously. As for melodizing the voice with dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and recitation, it is among the newly invented and innovated matters, and "every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire."
