How did our predecessors (the Salaf) teach their children the Quran at the ages of 6-12 and 15-25, so that they would relish it, understand its meanings, ponder over it, and be fortified by it against the temptations of their time?

The fatwa (definition) clarified that teaching the Qur’an to children should be done with gentleness and good example, by making the meanings accessible to them through tangible images, and by encouraging them to remember Allah and memorize the Qur’an. As for adults, they should be taught the Qur’an both theoretically and practically, connecting them with books on spiritual development, while also seeking assistance through prayer for them.
