What Allah and His Messenger have decreed as obligations, there is no choice for a believing man or a believing woman regarding them. Allah the Almighty says: "And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, that they should have any option in their decision." Allah has made the hijab (definition) obligatory for the women of the Ummah upon reaching puberty. Allah the Almighty says: "and to draw their veils over their chests and not to expose their adornment," and He says: "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments." The duty is to obey Allah and His Messenger without hesitation or consultation, for a dream vision may be an encouragement to comply with Allah's command.
