Studying in mixed-gender schools is generally forbidden due to the presence of evil deeds. However, it may be permissible in cases of dire necessity, such as the need for work, provided there is no alternative, security from temptation is assured, and adherence to Islamic manners in dress and speech is maintained. Inviting female friends to wear the hijab (definition) and practice religious commitment is an act of enjoining good and mutual advice, which is a pure good deed if the intention is pure. Whispers of showing off do no harm. A Muslim woman must avoid displeasing her parents and raising her voice at them, and she must control her anger, for anger gathers evil, and controlling it leads to the good of this world and the hereafter, and earns paradise.
