The answer

There is no sin on the questioner for using pirated software due to her ignorance that it was pirated and her lack of knowledge of the religious ruling. Allah has answered the prayer of the believers: "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake." [Quran 2:286] And He, glorified be He, said: "I have done so." Allah has overlooked the mistakes and forgetfulness of this Ummah.
