The answer

The foremost for a Muslim is to become accustomed to reciting and reflecting upon the Qur’an; for it is the most beneficial thing for his heart and his religion. And if he wishes to listen, there is nothing purer or more beneficial than the Qur’an. However, there is no harm in listening to good anasheeds (religious songs) that adhere to the শরীয়াহ (Islamic law) guidelines.
