What is the ruling on listening to anashid if they are hummed like songs, and is it obligatory to stop listening to them?
It is, by Allah Almighty's grace, that He makes the forbidden and sins detestable to some of His servants, and Allah should be praised and thanked for this blessing. There is no harm in listening to Islamic anthems and repeating them, provided they adhere to guidelines, and they are not considered forbidden songs. Similarly, chanting some words, repeating them, and humming them is not forbidden singing as long as it is not accompanied by music or does not lead to something forbidden. This has been reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and some of the predecessors. One should be moderate in this and not let it distract from the remembrance of Allah.
