The answer

Persistence in supplication and maintaining it are among the greatest causes for a prayer to be answered, though not a condition for it. However, it increases the chances of it being answered, especially if the supplicant is humble and pure in their food and clothing, because unlawful food and clothing prevent a supplication from being answered.
