The answer

Remembrance () expels Satan and is one of the means of treating obsessive thoughts (waswasah). Therefore, one afflicted with waswasah should adhere to acts of remembrance and distract themselves from the obsessive thoughts. They should also persist in supplication and humble entreaty, while also considering consulting a trusted psychiatrist.
