The question

Is the supplication: "Praise be to Allah before Whose might everything humbles itself; praise be to Allah before Whose power everything submits; praise be to Allah before Whose glory everything abases itself; praise be to Allah before Whose dominion everything yields" authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? And are the merits mentioned for it, such as 1000 good deeds being recorded, 1000 ranks being elevated, and 70,000 angels being assigned to seek forgiveness for its reciter until the Day of Resurrection, sound?

The answer

The "Praise be to Allah, before whose greatness all things humble themselves..." is weak. It was mentioned by Al-Albani in Da'if al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib and Al-Silsilah al-Da'ifah. However, it contains no forbidden elements and includes glorification of Allah. A Muslim may supplicate with it. Nevertheless, what has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is more preferable and superior.
