The verbal and practical indicated counting tasbih with the hand. In some narrations, it specifies the right hand. The matter is flexible. As for the Prophet's ﷺ saying, "Count with the fingertips," scholars have differed in its interpretation. The more accurate opinion is that it refers to the fingers, not just the fingertips or the finger joints.
