The answer

Reading the Qur’an is one of the best acts of worship, but there is no evidence for the obligation of reciting it at all times, or that not reading it for a certain period necessitates sin. There are no religious texts that impose this. Rather, the scholars have stated the disapproval of delaying the completion of the Qur’an for more than forty days, especially for a memorizer, for fear of forgetting it or becoming negligent with it. Nevertheless, a Muslim should not let their days be devoid of reciting and pondering the Qur’an.
