Who is the man whom the Dajjal will kill, and who is considered the greatest of people in martyrdom before the Lord of all creation? And is he superior to Hamza - may Allah be pleased with him - the master of martyrs, in terms of martyrdom? And from which city will this man emerge?

There is no مرفوع tradition that identifies the man who will confront the Dajjal. However, it is evident that he will be one of the best people of this Ummah and from the people of Medina. Some scholars have mentioned that he is Al-Khidr (peace be upon him) or one of the Companions of the Cave, but verifiable sources contradict this. He will be the greatest witness before the Lord of the Worlds due to his utterance of the truth in a dire situation. This does not mean that he is superior to the master of martyrs, Hamza, or other noble Companions.
