The answer

There is no harm for a girl to state her name, her father's name, and how to contact him to someone who proposes marriage to her, if he is sincere in his claim, provided that unnecessary communication and conversations with him are cut off. If the girl feels reassured about a person, his religiosity, and his character, there is no harm in informing him of what would enable him to propose to her, such as her father's address. However, it is not permissible to continue a relationship with him, whatever its purpose. If he is sincere, the matter will come through its legitimate channel, and he will propose to her through her guardian; otherwise, he is a deceiver.
