Is the second husband entitled not to provide for his working wife, under the pretext that he thinks she has enough money, while she spends her salary on her children from a previous marriage?

The wife's maintenance is obligatory upon the husband, even if she is wealthy. The husband's preference for his other wife is not permissible in basic expenses. As for what exceeds that, jurists have differed concerning it. Most of them viewed its permissibility, with a preference for equality, while others maintained the obligation of equality in everything as much as possible.
