What is the religious ruling on a girl marrying a young man of lower educational, financial, and social standing, when the father objects to this marriage based on the absence of parity? And is it obligatory for her to leave him because of that?

"Acquaintance between young men and women under the name of friendship is Islamically forbidden, as it is a gateway to fitna (strife/temptation) and corruption. Compatibility between spouses is considered solely by deen (religion). If a girl is pleased with the suitor who proposed to her and he is compatible, her guardian does not have the right to prevent her [from marrying him]. Nevertheless, a father is usually the most concerned person about his daughter's well-being, and closeness in other matters between the spouses is desirable for their understanding. It is advisable to convince the father of the suitor and seek the help of sensible people. If he insists on refusing, then it is better to turn away from him, unless there is harm in leaving him, in which case the matter can be referred to a Sharia (definition) judge."
