What is the solution for a relationship hampered by the other party's memories of a previous relationship with a friend of the current partner, despite mutual love and inability to separate, when discussing marriage?
Dating between young men and women and love relationships between them are a gateway to evil and corruption. You must cut off your relationship with this young man and promptly repent to Allah the Almighty. Repentance involves abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving never to return to it. The repenter should conceal their past sins. If a suitor proposes to you, do not inform him of the forbidden relationships you engaged in. The correct approach is for the suitor to consider the present state of the woman he is proposing to, not her past. If he is willing to marry you, your past relationship with someone else should not deter him. If he is not willing, then turn your heart away from him and occupy yourself with what benefits you.
