What is the ruling on a girl studying computer engineering at university, when she is not in need of work, and intends to work online after graduation to benefit society and donate a portion of her earnings? Is her going out to study in this case commendable?

If studying and working do not involve anything that violates Sharia (definition), such as exposing the girl to khalwa (definition) (private seclusion) or suspicious ikhtilat (mixing) with non-mahram (definition) men, then they are permissible. Her work may even be recommended if Muslims are in need of it.
