Is it permissible to offer condolences to someone who has lost their wealth due to trade, theft, or usurpation?

Condolence (ta'ziyah) is the command to be patient and to supplicate for the deceased and the afflicted. It is not limited to death but includes any affliction involving the loss of a relative, money, or a job. It is sunnah (definition) to offer condolences to one who has lost their money by supplicating for them with what is appropriate. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen clarified that condolence strengthens the afflicted person in their patience, whether the affliction is related to death or something else, such as the loss of money.
