How can I rectify and strengthen my faith and elevate myself to the degree of faith?

Laziness in working for the Afterlife squanders the true fuel of faith, which is righteous deeds. Faith increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience. Therefore, one must strive in righteous deeds, and among the greatest of them is supplicating for the heart to be firm in faith. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say frequently: "O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion." And supplication is the most effective remedy and weapon for believers.
