The answer

Allah Almighty commanded kindness to parents and to accompany them with goodness, as stated in His verse: "And accompany them in this world with goodness" [Luqman: 15], and "And We have enjoined upon man [to show] kindness to his parents" [Al-Ahqaf: 15].

One must be patient with the harm caused by the mother and respond to her ill-treatment with kindness. The questioner's harsh reply to his mother and mentioning her faults is a great sin and an act of disobedience, and he must repent sincerely and frequently seek forgiveness. Allah Almighty said: "So do not say to them, 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word" [Al-Isra: 23].

Allah has forbidden disobedience to mothers, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A boastful person, a disobedient person, and a habitual drunkard shall not enter Paradise." The right of parents is: "They are your Paradise and your Hellfire."
