What is to be understood from the call "O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain vigilant," which was heard at dawn, especially given that the questioner is a believer but does not possess deep religiosity?

It is possible that the voice is from a jinn who intends good, as it has been established that some jinn command good, and among them is the qareen (companion jinn) who embraced Islam. One should reflect on what is being called to, rather than the caller, because it is a great verse from the Book of Allah, which is the last verse of Surah (definition) Al Imran. Ibn Atiyyah said: "Allah Almighty concluded the surah with this admonition which combined triumph in this world over enemies and attainment of the bliss of the afterlife. So, it urges patience in acts of obedience and abstaining from desires, and commands perseverance." Ibn Kathir said: "Patience is steadfastness in the religion of Islam, and musabarah (perseverance) is steadfastness in jihad, and murabatah (guarding the frontiers) is continuous presence in a place of worship." The questioner should neither be alarmed nor feel at ease with such a voice.
