What is the difference between "wait patiently" (اصبروا) and "persevere" (صابروا) at the end of Surat Al Imran?

The verb "اصبروا" (isbirū) is a command to be patient with the hardships of obedience and adversities. The verb "صابروا" (ṣābirū) is a command to overpower the enemies of God by enduring the hardships of war more patiently than them. It has also been said that the intent is to be steadfast in the religion of Islam during ease and hardship, and to persevere against enemies.
