Is it permissible to give Christians gifts that support the dissemination of Christian doctrine and thought, such as hanging pictures of the founders of the Christian religion for the church?
The venerated images of Christians are a manifestation of polytheism () and a means to it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Those people, when there was a righteous man among them and he died, they would build a place of worship over his grave and make those images in it. Those are the most evil of creation in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection." (Agreed upon).
Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to assist them in making these images, nor to participate with them in that, due to the Almighty's saying: {And cooperate not in sin and aggression} (Quran 5:2). Assisting in disobedience is forbidden, so what about assisting in disbelief and its rituals?
It is forbidden to make images of any living being, and it is forbidden to sell, buy, acquire, gift, or lend these images.
