What is the ruling on washing the deceased with soap after the first wash?

Washing the deceased with water and soap in one of the washes is permissible. It is preferable that the first wash be with lotus leaves (Sidr) if available, as it is more effective in cleansing. If lotus leaves are not available, then using soap or a substitute for it is permissible.
