The answer

The deceased should be washed with water and sidr in all washes, beginning with the right side of the body and the areas of ablution. Care should be taken to remove impurities until the body is purified, even if it exceeds seven washes. There is no need for soap and shampoo unless sidr is insufficient in removing impurities, in which case they may be used from the first wash. A little camphor should be added in the last wash.
