Actions that carry merit are divided into two categories: obligatory, such as performing the five daily prayers and paying . A Muslim must care for and preserve these. The second category is recommended, such as the Tahajjud prayer and the Duha prayer. It is prescribed for the believer to strive and be diligent in these, especially for people of knowledge, as they are role models. If one is occupied or occasionally omits them, it does not harm them, as these are supererogatory acts.
