How should six apartments be divided among the heirs of a man who passed away, leaving behind two sons and five daughters, knowing that the apartments vary in value? And what is the counsel of the Shari'ah for one who is negligent with the wealth of orphans?

If the heirs are limited to two sons and five daughters, the inheritance is to be divided among them according to the share of two females for the male. This means dividing it into nine equal parts: two parts for each son and one part for each daughter. The value of the apartments must be taken into account during the division due to their varying values. This division is the boundary set by Allah, and it is not permissible to change it. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be admitted by Him to gardens, and whoever disobeys and transgresses His boundaries will be admitted by Him to the Fire. If one of the heirs is a minor, their share must be preserved and invested for their benefit. It is not permissible to consume their wealth, for Allah Almighty says: (Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a blaze). Consuming the orphan's wealth is one of the seven destructive sins.
