However, if the daughter fulfills her mother's needs and covers her demands, then there is no harm for her to ask her mother to stay at home and quit work, due to the prevalence of harms in women's work, especially service work and the humiliation involved therein. This request should be made gently, out of respect for the mother's status and the impermissibility of raising one's voice at her.
