The answer

Marrying a fertile woman is desirable to increase the number of the Ummah and for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to boast of it. Al-Ghazali views the intention of procreation in marriage as an act of worship for three reasons: fulfilling God's will in preserving the human race, gaining the love of the Messenger by increasing the Ummah, and seeking blessings and forgiveness of sins through the prayer of a righteous child. Righteous offspring was the desire of prophets and righteous people, such as Abraham and Zechariah, peace be upon them, and the righteous prayed for it. Increasing progeny is a great blessing, and nations strive to increase it while enemies seek to reduce it through various means.
